TK-mac is a local system monitoring utility. It operates entirely on your machine and does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any of your personal data, system information, or usage logs.
All process management, system logs, and network monitoring happen strictly locally on your Mac.
The only external connections TK-mac makes are to check for available software updates and to perform a secure, anonymous ping using a hashed device ID to validate your 7-day free trial or license status. Any email or payment information provided during purchase is handled securely by our payment processor and is used exclusively for license delivery and support.
When checking your license, our servers temporarily process your IP address for security protection. This IP data is immediately discarded and is never permanently stored or tied to your identity.
To display your Public IP Address in the Network Dashboard and System Info Dashboard, TK-mac makes a secure network request to ipify.org, a privacy-first, open-source service. Ipify provides the raw IP data without logging or storing your request information. We do not collect or transmit your IP address to our own servers; it is used solely for local display.
The Network Speed Test feature uses M-Lab's (Measurement Lab) open-source infrastructure. When you initiate a speed test, a temporary connection is made to M-Lab to measure your bandwidth. M-Lab may process your IP address for the duration of the test to facilitate accurate measurements, in accordance with their own open-source privacy policy.
